How to Adjust the 5-Point DSP Laser Protection for Press Brake?
During the actual bending process, we have installed a machine tool equipped with a laser safety protection device. This device can be adjusted according to the height of the upper die. How to adjust the emitter and receiver of the laser safety device?
First, we need to adjust the emitter side. Based on the height of the upper die, we adjust the emitter of the laser safety device. First, we can see this light spot. Loosen the handle and move the emitter of the laser safety device downwards. Continue lowering it until the light spot is completely clear of the upper die.
You can see that the top of the light spot is just clear of the upper die. The position of the emitter side is now adjusted. After the emitter of the laser safety device is adjusted, the light spot from the emitter will travel along the bottom of the upper die, all the way to the receiver of the laser protection device.
The light spot is now approximately in this position. Next, we need to move the receiver of the laser safety device downwards. Loosen the handle and move it down. Move it until it aligns with the horizontal line below.
It is now in the adjusted state. The receiver has three sensing zones. One, two, three. These three sensing zones protect three different areas, one is the bottom of the die, one is the front of the die, and one is the back of the die.
When these three sensing zones are covered by the light spot, it indicates that the laser safety protection device has been successfully adjusted. The laser safety protection device is adjusted before the machine leaves the factory.
If, due to transportation or collision, the laser safety protection device becomes misaligned vertically, horizontally, or laterally, then fine-tuning is required. Vertical adjustment is controlled by loosening the handle.
For front-to-back, left-to-right adjustments, or if the device is slightly crooked, you can loosen the external hexagon screws on the emitter and receiver to adjust the light spot of the laser safety protection device, ensuring the light spot from the emitter correctly hits the sensing zones of the receiver.
